Urgent openings

Emergency window repair when the glass is gone

A broken window is a weather problem and a safety problem. Call QTSHUB Windows & Doors during published business hours, describe the opening, and we will tell you the earliest visit we can offer to secure it.

What emergency repair means here

Emergency window repair is for homes and small commercial spaces where glass has failed suddenly. That includes a smashed window, a door lite that has given way, storm damage, or an opening left exposed after a break-in. Emergency glass repair starts by keeping people away from what is still hanging in the frame, then making the opening secure against weather and easy entry.

Emergency window replacement is the next step when the frame is twisted, split, or no longer able to hold glass. We do not pretend a sheet of new glass fixes a wrecked sash. If the frame can take glass, the permanent repair is scheduled as glass repair. If it cannot, we quote window replacement or a door repair through door replacement.

This is one of the six services on our services page. Phone +1 (613) 634-3422 during business hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Sunday is closed. We do not offer after-hours, 24/7, or guaranteed-response emergency service. Say your city when you call so we can be honest about timing.

What you can expect

  • A real person on the phone who asks what is broken and who is at risk.
  • A stated arrival window based on where we already are, not a slogan.
  • The opening made secure if the right glass is not immediately available.
  • A clear next step: new glass, or a full replacement if the frame is done.
  • The same company for the follow-up, so you are not handed off.

Call for these situations

  • Glass on the floor, or shards still in the frame.
  • A window or door that no longer keeps the weather out.
  • Storm damage to a pane or a slider.
  • A small shop or office lite that has been broken.
  • An upper-floor opening where falling glass is a hazard. Keep people clear and tell us that detail.

How we respond

Secure first, then the permanent fix

Make it safe

Loose glass is removed with care. The opening is covered or closed so wind, rain, and casual entry are stopped.

Replace the glass

Emergency glass repair continues with a proper pane or sealed unit once the size and type are known. Permanent glass is scheduled when the correct unit is available. We do not promise same-day glass.

Replace the window

If the sash or frame failed with the glass, emergency window replacement is quoted. We do not glaze a frame that cannot hold it.

Before we arrive

Keep children and pets away from the opening. Do not pull large shards if they are still wedged overhead. If the break is on an upper floor, stay out of the drop zone outside. A photo of the whole window, sent when you speak with us, helps us bring a better first response.

Commercial emergency glass repair for a clinic, office, or small shop follows the same idea: secure the opening, then plan the glass. Tell us if the business must stay open, because that changes how we cover the lite.

For non-urgent fogged glass, use the glass repair page instead of this one. The usual sequence after an estimate request is on how we work. You can also send an estimate request on the contact page. An estimate request is not a confirmed appointment.

FAQ

Emergency questions

What counts as an emergency window repair?

A window or door lite that is shattered, missing, or open to weather or intruders. A fogged pane that still holds is not an emergency. Call and describe what you see if you are unsure.

Do you promise a specific arrival time?

No. We tell you the earliest visit we can offer during published business hours. We do not guarantee a response time and we do not offer after-hours or 24/7 emergency service.

Will you board the opening or replace the glass on the first visit?

If the correct glass is not available, we secure the opening first during business hours and schedule the permanent glass or a window replacement. We do not promise same-day glass.

Do you handle emergency glass on a small commercial property?

Yes, for offices, clinics, and small shops. Call +1 (613) 634-3422, say it is a commercial opening, and describe the glass.
